Service Times

Sunday Morning - 10 AM Sunday Night - 6 PM Wednesday Night - 7 PM

December 1... The 5th Sunday combinded Spanish/English service was great. Bro. Antonio Mateo did a great job as well as our Spanish/English Praise Team. Even had to put out chairs to seat everybody.

Thank You JESUS!

Fifth Sunday Service - Combined Spanish and English service. 2:00 PM

We experienced an awesome presence of God during the series of services with Rev. Thomas Patterson!  Three brand new people received the baptism of the Holy Ghost.  Two brand new people were baptized in Jesus Name for the remission of their sins.  Many were renewed in the Lord.  We had several healings.  One in particular was a tumor on a woman's shoulder.  Bro. Bunner and Bro. Patterson both felt the size of the tumor when they prayed for her Thursday night.  By the time service ended, she testified that the tumor was shrinking.  They confirmed this report.  Sunday afternoon the lady called and told us the tumor was completely gone.  "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday and today and forever!"  His power has not diminished.  We are blessed and privileged to witness His workings in today's world!

One brand new person baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of her sins in obedience to Acts 2:38!  Another brand new person filled with the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gave utterance - Just like Acts 2:4!  I would say we are well on our way to a Book of Acts revival.  It's exciting times to be part of New Life Tabernacle!

Modern day miracles - While receiving a six week antibiotic treatment for an MRSA and other infections in a knee replacement gone badly, the doctors had removed the artificial knee prothesthis that had been placed earlier with a medicated cement joint,  I had some very low moments.  When the doctors told me that there was a possibility of amputation or even death was one of those lows!  I did what the doctors recommended, took my medications as prescribed, underwent my twice daily IV treatments (they would connect to a pic line that had been surgically inserted into my heart), try to do what I could to help others, and pray.  Of these, the most important was prayer.  It kept me feeling connected to God and gave me hope.

Mr. Richardson, my roommate from Florida was suffering through the same problem that I had, only his was even worse than mine.  They had already amputated one of his legs and were trying to save the other one.  He was a likeable fellow but wouldn’t follow the medical recommendations.  One night about 9:30PM I noticed that he seemed to be in great distress and notified the medical staff.  They were there immediately but by 12:30 AM he was dead.  I had grown close to Greg and was very sad to see him go but my prayers and the prayers of others continued to give me hope.  I knew that I had friends, family, and church family at New Life Tabernacle praying for me also.

I remember saying when my dad had been in the hospital for 52 days before his death that there was no way I could make it that long in the hospital but God showed me that I could do 52 days by being there with me in the hospital for 59 days.  I did eventually walk out of the hospital with both legs!  Praise the Lord!  God is awesome and He can get us through things we thought were impossible if we will only believe in Him.

It is with much prayer and excitement that we prepare for revival with Evangelist Tom Patterson March 7-11!  Pastor Bunner has been heard numerous times saying "We are having a 7-11 revival in March!"  Just a catchy little way of remembering the dates.  But the New Life Family has begun to fast and pray, believing God for a generous outpouring of the Holy Ghost!  If you need a miracle, we encourage you to be in this revival.  If you need Jesus, you can find Him!  The New Life Family welcomes you to join us!  Experience New Life at New Life Tabernacle March 7-11!

Hungry Anyone? was the title of Pastor's Sunday morning message.  The table is spread, we can eat to our fill.  Let us not forget those who are literally hungry.  In a spiritual sense, we also are filled with the blessings of God.  We meet with Him in prayer.  We commune with Him through His Word.  We are blessed with His presence in corporate worship.  Yet there is "...famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the Words of the Lord." Amos 8:11 And they could be filled with just the crumbs from the Master's Table!  Join us at New Life Tabernacle and Let's Eat!

Change seems to be the order of business in our society.  Like rolling stones, nothing remains the same.  Styles change.  Seasons change.  People change.  Enter, the Church.  Where does change fit into that picture?  Yes, styles change there as well.  Clothing styles, decoration styles, music styles.  People come and go.

But!  We can't let our focus remain on the things that change, but on the unchangable Savior!  Matt 16:18 - And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  And again the Scripture says in Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.  That is the unchangable!

God is faithful!  You can ALWAYS depend on Him!

restoration to life, consciousness, vigor, strength, etc.
restoration to use, acceptance, or currency: the revival of old customs.
a new production of an old play.
a showing of an old motion picture.
an awakening, in a church or community, of interest in and care for matters relating to personal religion.
an evangelistic service or a series of services for the purpose of effecting a religious awakening: to hold a revival.
the act of reviving.
the state of being revived.

However you want to define revival, it's happening at New Life Tabernacle!  There is a "series of services" planned for September 22 - 26.  The good news is that you don't have to wait until the series of services to experience "restoration to life, consciousness, vigor or strength!"  Just visit any service.  You can receive "restoration to use, acceptance, or currency!"  Come join us for "an awakening" in your life.  Experience...New Life!

5/25/2010 - Pastor Bunner at the Arabian Sea

Pastor Terry Bunner traveled to India from April 19 - May 11.  It was an awesome trip, tremendously blessed by God!  On April 22 - 25 he preached the General Conference of South India for the UPCI.  They saw a tremendous move of God in the Conference.  The culmination for him was preaching the final message following the election of the new General Board.  He humbled himself and washed the feet of the outgoing Superintendent and the newly elected Superintendent.  A spirit of humility filled the assembly.

During the week of the Conference, Pastor was able to do some sightseeing accompanied by Brad Bullock, Pastor JP Christian, and his son, Krioni.  They saw Chinese fishing nets in action.  They visited an artillery museum.  And they took a Backwaters Boat Tour.  It was a great time of fellowship.

Also in Cochin, they had the opportunity to minister to a Muslim family and share the Word of God.  This family visited the Sunday morning service at the Conference and were wonderfully overwhelmed by the presence of God.  They were given a Holy Bible and committed to further study the Word and to stay in contact with the local United Pentecostal Church Pastor.

After leaving Cochin, Pastor Bunner traveled to Nagacoil in Tamil Nadu state.  While there he preached several times in local churches.  He taught Bible Study in the homes of family members of men in our local congregation.  They were privileged to baptize one lady in the precious Name of Jesus.

Pastor also did some sightseeing in Tamil Nadu.  He visited Kanniyakumarri - The Place Where Three Seas Meet.  The three seas include the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean, and the Arabian Sea.  He saw the sunrise and the sunset.  It was beautiful.

Pastor arrived safely home on May 11.  He was weary, but excited to be part of the work of God in south India.

Gal 6:10 - As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

A group of men from New Life took this Scripture to heart.  James Guidry, an elderly man in the church, was in need of roof repair.  Pastor Terry Bunner, along with some of the men from church, gathered together Saturday morning to "do good" to the Guidrys.  In about 6 hours they had replaced the roof on their house.  Two of Bro. Guidry's sons and one of his grandsons joined in the project.  It was a great time of fellowship as well.

Well, we kicked off New Life Groups tonight!  A total of 42 people met in 4 different locations. Group leaders met together later on in the evening.  The general concensus was that week 1 was a total success!

"Does God Own You?"  That was the question.  There was a lot of personal input about things that hinder us from allowing God to actually "own" us.  One member said, "When I was renting, if something went wrong I just called the landlord.  Now that I own my home, I have to fix things myself when they break."

If God "owns" us and we are just renting the property, then we have the advantage of "calling Him" in prayer and he will take care of the need!  There are definite benefits in allowing God to own us!

Next week will be fellowship week.  Can't wait to see what's happening then!

Coming soon...New Life Groups!  We are so excited to be entering back into home friendship groups!  Beginning September 13 we will dismiss our Sunday evening service and meet instead by groups in homes.  An exchange!  Youth will meet at the church in the youth classroom.

We chose an acronym to describe what is going to be happening.

Pastor is teaching on Wednesday nights about how to minister in a home group setting.  Excitement is high.  We can hardly wait to get started.  Stay tuned for more details!

Recently we have baptized 2 brand new people in the Name of Jesus Christ!  Kennedy Michel was baptized on Sunday, July 26.  She is so excited about what God is doing in her life.  She has a beautiful spirit that is very sensitive to God.  She is also a very talented singer and musician, who is joyfully giving those talents to service in the kingdom of God!

Sarah Thomas was baptized Wednesday, July 29.  She has been spending the summer with her grandparents, and coming to church with them.  Sarah left the first week of August to go back to her mother's house. We pray God's blessing and favor will be with her and that she will find a church home there.  We already miss you Sarah!

4th of July Weekend Celebration
Mary began our morning worship service with an awesome rendition of "God Bless America" and ended the worship service with prayer through song that God would "Hear Our Prayer"!  As goes our churches, so goes our country.  As goes our families, so goes our churches.  We need to connect to God in prayer more fervently than ever before.  Sis. Jan led the church in prayer for our nation and protection for our military overseas.  Pastor followed with fervent, heartfelt prayer for our country's leaders.  We need God in America!

The Youth Department here at New Life is kickin’! The 3rd weekend of every month is host to our breakout service – a time of worship and preaching relevant to 12-18 year olds. Also, on the 1st weekend, we hold a youth fellowship – usually more on the fun side. We are known to get a little crazy with dodge ball mania!

If you don’t want to wait every other week for a youth event, come every Sunday morning at 10:00 am for our youth class. In it, we have donuts and chilled chocolate milk mixed with engaging and interactive study of God’s wonderful Word!

Our purpose for the Youth Department at New Life is to create an environment where spiritual growth, Godly love, and wholehearted fun flourishes. In a world where the reputation of church is boring and dry, we go against the flow and make every youth event a disappointment to miss. Hop on board and let’s grow together!

We at New Life love to fellowship!  Easter Sunday was a great day of worship in the sanctuary.  Our children sang and quoted some memory verses.  Sister Kalai Babu blessed us with a beautiful song in the Tamil language.  Rev. Tom Patterson preached about the Power of Exposure - once we taste sin, it pulls us farther in.  But if we will "taste and see" Jesus Christ, we will want more and more of Him!

Then came the Easter Egg Hunt for the kids and "Dinner on the Ground" for all!  Boy do we have some great cooks!   Our foks laughed and talked as we shared food and fellowship together.  There's just nothing like being part of the family of God!  It's great to have spiritual food, but "laughter doeth good like a medicine" is also a powerful concept in Scripture.  I am so thankful to be involved in a church that has a balance of both.

We welcome 2 new members:

Gloria a Dios!  We had our very first all Hispanic service at New Life Tabernacle Saturday, March 21 at 7 PM.  Pastor Glenn and Sis. Brandy Naquin blessed us with their ministry.  She led worship songs, predominantly in Spanish, but with a few English lines thrown in.  No matter the language, we all felt the presence of God.

Pastor Bunner greeted the congregation in English with Bro. Aaron Daigle as interpreter.  The unity and the spirit of worship could not be hindered by language barriers.  There were 63 in attendance, 35 of which were Hispanic.

Pastor Naquin preached "Cuando Dios Juega En El Polvo - When God Plays In The Dirt".  The altar response was beautiful.  We offered a time of fellowship with cookies and punch at the conclusion of the service.

We look forward to seeing where God is going to take us in Spanish Ministry!

Wow!  Just Wow!  I haven't updated the blog recently because we have been so busy just seeing it happen!  Our Friendly February attendance drive saw 29 visitors to our Sunday Morning service!

On March 1 we began revival with Bro. Brad Bullock.  The liberty of the Holy Ghost has been present in our worship, in his preaching, and in our altar services.  I haven't tried to figure it out, but I think there hasn't been a service that we didn't have visitors and many of those have been first time visitors.  God has filled several people with the Holy Ghost.  He has refreshed and renewed many - just like He promised - "this is the rest wherewith I have called the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing."  Isaiah 28:12 and Acts 3:19

We are particularly excited about Hispanic guests that God has drawn to our services.  They have come hungering for God.  "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled."  Matthew 5:6  We welcome our Hispanic brothers and sisters to the family of God at New Life Tabernacle.

If you haven't yet visited revival services, you owe it to yourself to "taste and see" what old time Pentecostal Revival is all about.  Hope to see you there!

I am so excited about what God is doing at our church!!  Sunday Morning we started the week out with a wonderful baptismal service.  Bro. Bunner re-emphasized how important it is to be baptized in the precious Name of Jesus!!

Then we came back Sunday Night expecting an amazing service, and that's exactly what we had!!  Our Community Impact Choir edified us with "Days of Elijah", and there was such a power when we joined together singing a line from the song, "there's no God like Jehovah!!".  Bro. Bunner delivered a heartfelt message about how if we don't have revival, someone else will. After the message I believe as a church we collectively decided that God's revival would not pass New Life Tabernacle!  God's Spirit came down and moved in a mighty way!!

I am especially looking forward to tonight's service, as Sis. Jan will be teaching on Spiritual Gifts and Ministries.

If you want to be a part of revival with us and are tired of going through the motions, come join us!!

A group of our youth gathered at the church for a time of fun and fellowship.  Turkey sandwiches, dodge ball, volley ball, etc.  They had a blast.  While they were out playing dodge ball in the parking lot, some kids from the community stopped by to watch.  They were invited to join in.  Two of them visited our services Sunday!  Go Youth!

And Sunday night Bro. Bullock outdid himself!  We have to be changed.  Jacob spent years running from his brother, his enemies, his father-in-law, himself.  Finally after a wrestling match with God - which God initiated, Genesis 32 - Jacob decided to quit running and be changed.  And he became Israel, a prince with God!

Let 2009 be your year to change!  As Pastor said in conclucion, "It's mine in 09!"

WOW!  What a service!  What a God!  Community Impact Choir sang in our Sunday evening service.  They sang with a powerful anointing and a liberty in worship.  Rev. Brad Bullock preached to us about the beginning before the beginning.  It was a Word from God for this hour.  God poured out His Spirit in the altar service.  It would be difficult to count just what all God did in the service.

One thing is certain, we asked Bro. Bullock to return again next Sunday night to preach.  We are expecting God to show up and show off.

There was such a magnificent liberty in our worship this morning.  For the first service, of the first week, of the first month of the New Year - God came in with His awesome presence!  The Robinsons, Missionaries to Turkey were with us.  It was so fascinating to see what God is doing in the area that the Apostle Paul totally evangelized centuries ago. This area is now more than 98% Muslim.  Our church members prayed over the Turkish flag - asking God to pour out His Spirit once again in Asia Minor!

New Year's Resolutions are a dime a dozen, if that much!  We aren't talking about resolutions.  We're talking excitement for what '09 has to hold at New Life Tabernacle!  We have seen answers to prayers that were prayed in our December Family Focused Prayer meeting.  Faith is high...January Focused Prayer (1/4) is going to be outreach.  Praying for our community.  For women.  For youth.  For a revelation of truth.

Expectation is high!  Stay tuned...better yet, get involved.  God is doing BIG things and we want YOU to be part of the excitement!
